UAE startups have collectively raised $595 million across 36 equity funding rounds in 2026 to date, according to a recent Tracxn report. The report also noted 15 acquisitions, highlighting active investment and M&A activity within the ecosystem.

Dubai captured the lion's share of $3.8 billion in UAE venture capital in 2025, representing 74% growth year-over-year and cementing its position as the MENA region's dominant startup hub. But competition from Riyadh's deep-pocketed Vision 2030 programs and Cairo's cost advantages is intensifying.

Dubai has initiated a Dh1 billion International Space Cooperation Programme to boost global collaboration in space research and development. This program aims to strengthen the UAE's position in advanced space technologies and industries, opening opportunities for startups in the sector.
